Edmonton Real Estate Heats Up!

The Edmonton Real Estate market has been warming up with the weather this year, and this May single detached homes have reached their highest point since 2008. Prices of single family detached homes rose 4% in May, and condominiums went up 5,9% over the month of May! This puts the median price of a residential home in Edmonton to around $350,000.
From the article in the Edmonton Journal last week:
“While housing prices are higher in Edmonton than last month, they are inching up in manageable increments,” said local association president Doug Singleton, adding that real estate in Edmonton remains cheaper relative to income than in cities like Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary … Over $3 billion worth of property moved through the system in the first five months of the year, up from $2.6 billion over the same period of 2012.
